This week's potpouree!

MORE LASAGNA GARDEN BOOKS
I've gotten some great ideas from the first Lasagna Garden book and purchased two more. That should keep me busy revamping my garden.

WHO SAYS IT DOESN'T PAY TO HAVE PALS IN HIGH PLACES?

"................the patheticness of laws that allow global multi-national corporations like GE to make $12 billion in profits--including from vast US operations--and not pay a penny in US taxes."

THE LIST!
Reps. Anthony Weiner (D -NY) and Jason Chaffetz (R -UTAH) hold a news conference announcing their intention to cut subsidies to Angora 'mohair' goat programs.

On occasion I've heard,
" I don't want to know about it."
"They've always done that."
"What's going to happen is going to happen."
"We can't do anything about it."
"They all do it."

That's okay, I understand individuals who feel this way...and although I'd LOVE to feel the same, I do not.

Perhaps there's little I can do about the world's situation but at least I'll go down with the knowledge that I chose to be aware that a problem existed.....and have tried to pass on some of this information to others.....who may find it important enough to pass it on also. Closing my eyes to it all is simply incomprehensible to me.

As always I get more education, and thankfully so, when I read your blog.

I checked out your post on your almost famous garden too. I subscribe to that magazine and now I know, the gardens I see in the magazine are a few years old by the time the garden is featured. Who knew... now I do!

I feel like you do and speak out to the walls and anyone inside those walls at the time I get this information.

If a Protest March comes by my house I'm picking up a banner/poster and getting behind the last in line is what I say to anyone that will listen.

Glad to see you are delving into more gardening books because it will be awhile before you get to the dirt!!! Not that kind of dirt, silly! It snowed here last night! Unreal, another one of those Springs, I guess.

We need to check out those gardening books. Our plans to create another gardening area were put on hold for this season. We decided that we need to make the space we have now more productive instead of adding on. Thanks for reminding us about lasagna gardening.

The lasagna gardening sounds interesting. That's a new concept for me. Good luck with it!

I will need to check out this lasagna gardening, interesting!!! Who do you think Dip # 3 will be, lol.... I just wrote my usual letter to the White House when I get upset about something. Sometimes I even call if you can get thru that is. I must admit I do vote Republican most of the time but George Bush got an awful lot of letters from me, lol....
